The margin hiding
in your own invoices.

The price list says one thing and the invoices say another. Every point recovered goes straight to EBITDA, because nothing else has to move. It is the fastest lever today’s business has, and the margin it adds funds the new one.

01 · Why it matters

The list price is one number. The invoice is another.

The term it movesMargin
The business it worksToday’s business, run for profit
The models it readsBusiness and operating: the price list, and the approvals as they run
Where it lives in MakersOSThe pocket-price waterfall on the Room’s margin page; each recovery a move

The Pricing Read works one term of value, margin, on today’s business. Discounts drift, exceptions become the rule, rebates and free service pile up, and nobody owns the gap between the list and what each customer pays. The read builds the pocket-price waterfall from the company’s own transactions, prices what can be recovered segment by segment, and hands each recovery to the Room as a move with an owner and a date.

02 · What you hold

At the end, in your hands.

  1. The pocket-price waterfall: list price, then every deduction in turn, down to what each customer pays.
  2. The leakage in euros, by segment, by product and by customer.
  3. Willingness to pay by segment, so a change lands where the value supports it.
  4. A capture plan: each action with the euros it recovers, the months it takes, its owner and its customer risk, every figure graded.
  5. The governance that keeps the leakage closed: who approves an exception, and the report the board sees at every quarterly close.

03 · The clock

Builds the waterfall and leads the interviews himself. The same waterfall runs on the margin page of a MakersOS Room, so each recovery becomes a move with an owner and a date.

Where it leads

The capture plan becomes a sprint inside The Programme, and the governance runs in the Room every quarter. Each recovery counts when it has landed and been signed, and the margin it adds is the cash that funds the new business.

05 · What buyers ask first

Four answers, before you ask.

How fast

Four weeks from receiving the data to a costed plan. An exception that was never agreed in writing can often be closed in week two.

What we need

Transaction-level sales data, the price list and the discount approvals as they run in practice. Read-only, beside finance.

Customer reaction

The read separates price from value by segment, so changes land where the customer already sees the value, and the plan protects the relationships that matter most.

What happens after

The rules and the report that keep the leakage closed, reviewed with the board at every close.

Recover the margin you already earned.
