What happens to your room if we disappear.

Makers of New is a small studio. Before you trust us with your real numbers, you should ask what happens to them if we are gone tomorrow. Most vendors hope you never ask. We would rather answer first: nothing happens. Everything you own keeps working. Here is why, point by point, in plain words.

Your room is a file. A file survives its maker

Your MakersOS room is a single sealed file that lives on your own computer. It does not need any server to open, and it does not need us to be alive to work. The one thing it sends anywhere is your working record to us, your advisor · sealed in transit, shown to you on screen as it happens, and switchable off with a Silent Room. There is no subscription that can lapse: if our company closed tomorrow, your room would open the day after exactly as it opened the day before · the sync would simply have nowhere to go, and nothing you own would notice.

The arithmetic is published

Every number your room shows is computed by formulas that are printed inside the room itself and published at makersofnew.com/model. Nothing is a black box. You: or your accountant, or a buyer, or a court, can recompute any figure the room ever showed you, on paper, without us. A number you can recheck without its maker is a number that outlives its maker.

The key is yours, and only yours

Your room is locked with a key that only you hold. We cannot open it. Nobody else can either: no hosting company, no stranger who finds the file, no one. That is a limitation we chose on purpose, and it cuts both ways: it means nobody can ever open your room without you, and it means your access never depends on us. Your working answers do reach us · you engaged us as your advisor, the room shows you each sync as it happens, and the server in between carries only what it cannot read. No third party ever sees anything beyond the summaries you sign away. If you prefer us blind as well, ask for a Silent Room: no sync, and we work only from what you hand us.

The export is free, forever

Take the Record: the button that exports everything your room holds, is a standard feature in every room, free, and it can never be removed. This is written into the product's own rules: a record you cannot export is a record you do not own. Your history, your signed decisions, your evidence grades: all of it leaves with you, any day you choose, in one file.

What this means, plainly

If Makers of New disappeared tomorrow, you would lose one thing: us. The operator, the interviews, the new apps. You would keep everything you own: a working room, a complete record, and numbers you can recompute forever. The product survives its maker.

Compare that with any diagnostic tool that runs on its vendor's servers. When that vendor dies, is bought, or changes its pricing, the client's history dies with it. Ours cannot, not because we promise to behave, but because we built it so we don't have to be trusted.

How updates reach your room

A sealed file cannot change itself: and it never pretends to. When we improve the product, we build a new sealed file and place it at your same address, usually overnight. You do nothing: same link, same code. Your answers were never inside the file, they live in your own browser, on your own computer: so they are untouched because the design makes anything else impossible · a promise alone could be broken.

The first time you open a renewed room, it tells you once, calmly: what changed, and a proof it computes in front of you, your last signed record, re-calculated to the cent by the new version. If that check ever failed, the room would say so and tell you to stop and call us. It has a test that makes sure the failure could never pass quietly. Press "Noted" and the message never returns.

Who knows your code

Your room opens with one code. We generate it when we build your room, so at the moment of handover we know it too: we say this because it is true. The code is given to you once, by voice, never written next to the link. After handover we keep only a fingerprint of it, enough to confirm "yes, that's the right code" if you call for help, never enough to reconstruct it. If you are a regulated business, you can choose your own code at the handover, so we never picked it at all. And you can ask for a new code any time: same address, records intact.

In the contract

This page is not marketing. The same covenant appears as a clause in every MakersOS engagement: the room works without us, the formulas are published, the export is standard and free forever, and no upgrade may ever remove a feature that already shipped.
